Du Simple Au Neant

On Du simple au neant (the successor to Terrain Vague, released in 2004 and selling over 50,000 units), the Ogres set off on a journey outside their own musical sphere, building up their traditional guest list (Magyd Cherfi, Madina N'Diaye, Daniel Mermet...) and a series of new instruments [church organ, theremin, harmonium, drums...]. So, while remaining immediately identifiable, this album, which once again boasts jeweller's precision in its arrangements, also includes a number of compositions that mark a real musical evolution.
