Driven by the flow of their experiences, the Ogres deliver what was their finest studio album to date. "Terrain vague" is a kind of culmination, the siblings demonstrating a new maturity, as they used to say before the expression was overused. The orchestrations have never been so rich and precise, Fred's voice so poised, the emotions so finely transcribed. The spirit of the Ogres at its very best pervades the album.
