Hes in the Texas Music Hall of Fame and this year he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Academy of Texas Music. Hes steered his groups (The Explosives, Freddie Steadys Wild Country, the Shakin Apostles and the Freddie Steady 5) over vastly different musical terrains. Hes toured the globe and recorded with artists such as Roger Waters, Carole King, Roky Erickson, Jerry Jeff Walker and Ronnie Lane (to name a few). And now, Freddie Steady Krc finally releases his first true solo album.well, second actually (the first one was only released in the former Czechoslovakia, but that's another story in the life of this Renaissance Texan). The Mockingbird finds Freddie making use of his broad musical palette (rock, country, folk, psych, r&b, blues, jazz, zydeco, tex-mex and power pop) for this special collection.
