The dance of death of Empress Elisabeth begins in 1992. Already then, we, as well as her court of the undead, taking off the Sisi Taler glasses, look back on her legendary existence and realize that the juxtaposition of the drama of her life and her lovely legacy never get old. And so the Empress of Austria lives on: her rebirth at the Theater an der Wien through the United Theaters is followed by revivals, world tours and numerous recordings. It's hard to imagine that, despite a multiple star cast, gold and platinum awards, and a tracklist that pretty much only consists of favorite songs, the most successful German-language musical of all time has never been released on vinyl. But that's about to change: After 32 years of I Hear 'Nur Mir, HitSquad Records is pleased to present the first Elisabeth Vinyl of its kind. LIEBLINGSSTUCKE is a highlight for fans of the cult musical, who even played a key role in this special release. The song selection - eleven stations from the Empress's life - resulted from a survey in which participants could vote on their favorite titles and their favorite version of them. The result of this - and decades of love for the musical by Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay - will be released on high-quality BLUE vinyl on October 31st. Eleven favorite songs - all from the obviously most popular anniversary version of 2012, live from Vienna's Raimund Theater with ANNEMIEKE VAN DAM, MARK SEIBERT and KUROSCH ABBASI - and mastered exclusively for vinyl, make up the next, last dance of Empress Elisabeth.
