Serpentyne's music has strong influences from mediaeval, world, folk, rock, symphonic and metal. The fully mature sound of Serpentyne heard on this new CD takes a much heavier symphonic rock/metal approach following the expansion to a full guitar-led lineup, with guest musicians on mediaeval and classical wind instruments. The band has been compared to, Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation, Omnia, Faun and the major European symphonic rock/metal bands. The voice of Maggiebeth Sand has been compared to those of Tarja and Maddie Prior.
