Limite Acque Sicure
Un'altra Mano Di Carte
"Un'altra mano di carte" is the second album released by the group Limite Acque Sicure (Ferrara, Italy), two years after the first one. In the new album, the group develops a theme, a "concept": some characters, recounting their life experience, actually deal with extremely topical social issues. Marginalization, oppression, war are some of the themes that emerge from the stories contained in the six songs. But in each story there is always a light of hope, a small gesture of rebellion, a burst of pride that portends a possibility of change. "Un'altra mano di carte" also stands for the oddity of fate, the good fortune or bad luck of being born at a certain time in history, in a certain place. But when the deck of cards is shuffled, fate is set in motion again, hopes are rekindled, waiting for a better hand, luckier than the previous one. It is no coincidence that the characters associated with the pieces are portrayed in the playing cards, precisely to represent how much fate affects their stories, the stories of us all. The theme of "difficult" lives stems from the artists' personal sensitivity to issues with a social background, concerning man, his history in the world. Limite Acque Sicure entrusts its compositions with food for thought for the listener, with the understanding that music should also have this purpose.
