Euroteuro
Volume 2
Odes to idleness: The Viennese Dada-Pop collective EUROTEURO presents its second album with a lot of sense of humor and groove. After their debut album "Volume I" (including their hitsingle "Autogrill", the group around mastermind Peter T. is back with catchy songs full of strikingly absurd and funny lyrics The sound aesthetic is pretty free flowing, but this time the melancholic synthesizers dominate VOLUME II. In addition to their current radio hit "Ja Ja Ja" and the party hit "Bla Bla Bla", EUROTEURO cover the 80s heroes XTC ("Nigel" becomes "Franzi"), the Viennese anarcho-songwriter Gernot Kreisler ("Wenn das alle tten ") as well as the 1960s Schnulzen cult-song" Natascha "about an desperate love affair over the iron curtain. If this pandemic hadn't struck us, the bizarre group would probably continue to perform the Stefanie Sargnagel successful theater-piece "Am Wiesenrand" on the German-speaking theater stages. As an integral part of the Voodoo Jns tour circus (from which the cover picture was created), Euroteuro has become so well known across the generations.
