Copperfield, T.g.
Cranck It Up In Nashville
In March 2019, Regensburg songwriter T.G. Copperfield set off for Nashville, Tennessee, armed with just a guitar and seven songs to record his sixth studio album at Cygnus Sound Studios with producer Caleb Sherman. "Crank it up in Nashville" captures this adventure and the atmosphere of the session in its rawest and most emotional form. Copperfield managed to channel the power of tracks like "Babylon Rising," "I Ain't in It," and "Taste" into addictive rock and roll earworms. "Restless Man" and "Twosome Lonesome Blue" are ballads that likely wouldnt sound as haunting without the unique Nashville flair. "When the Ship Goes Down" and "By the Riverside" are simply fun and once again showcase Copperfield's great strength: his melodies. This time, Copperfield received support from handpicked guest musicians, including ACCEPT drummer Christopher Williams, Nashville session bassist Brandon Roberts, and Caleb Sherman on the Hammond B3. In addition to the seven tracks originally produced in Nashville, the album also includes four alternative mixes from voodoo blues master Dr. Will. The senior winner of "Voice of Germany," Dan Lucas, Nashville-based artist Dan Harrison, and Canadian songwriter Dave McCann have contributed their vocals to these remixes. These remixes reveal even more facets of the Nashville sessions to the listener. It's a unique document of an extraordinary journey.
