Nautilus- Das Abenteuermusical
Nautilus the adventure musical is conceived as an opus magnum and is based on the basic idea of Jules Verne's novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Extended by several characters, it takes place in 1868 and tells the story of the young French physics genius Professor Pierre Aronnax, who, together with his fianc, his servant and the harpooner Ned Land who protects them, accidentally ends up on board the world's first seagoing submarine arrived, constructed and commanded by the charismatic Captain Nemo. From this starting point, a parable unfolds about the opposites of freedom and progress, love and calling, about passion, truthfulness, forgiveness and revenge - in short: "the right way to live" in an aggressive world shaken mercilessly by technical and political change. Everything in the piece is carried by the magic of the music: characters and plot are structured in such a way that a pearl necklace of highly emotional moments emerges - moments that call for music
