With Solo Live, Nenad Vasilic presents his fifteenth album. Alone on the double bass, the double bassist and composer moves between irregular rhythms, straightforward funk beats and music from the southern Balkans. The constant alternation of percussive and traditional playing techniques creates a captivating live performance. Nenad Vasilic has lived in Vienna for more than 20 years and has built up an excellent reputation in European jazz circles as well as in his native Serbia. He combines Balkan rhythms, jazz and classical music influences in his own compositions in an inimitable way.
