Fourteenth edition of the annual compilation "Wien Musik" on CD on Monkey! Apparently there are 150,000 new songs released every day (!) worldwide - and if we break that down to a comparatively compact cosmopolitan city like Vienna, it will also be a huge handful that are created here, day after day. With the aim of picking out the best, most exciting and most atmospherically appropriate from the flood of publications, a recording is created every year that combs through, evaluates and sorts the current musical scene in a city. Same again this year! This time including Voodoo Jns, Wanda, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Ernst Molden and many more! A total of 23 songs, they all tell something about this city. And they tell us something about the range, breadth and depth of the local scene. We dare to diagnose: it hasn't been this simmering for a long time.
