Hit Mania Rok'24
WILD HONEY RECORDS is very proud to present you its new project: HIT MANIA ROK '24 - Rok sounds from Spaghettiland selected by Wilson (BEE BEE SEA) A collection of unreleased songs by the best of the new, wild weird and young italian Garage-Punk scene. A photograph of what is goin on right now in one of the most active and creative underground music winery (at least, in our opinion) There are so many young and good bands goin on right now in our country, so we just decided to let Wilson guide us through these italian weird landscapes: "I fucking love these bands. I'm grateful to have met every single one of them, and they make me feel part of something bigger than just 'playing my music for someone out there.' If you're all wondering what the word 'ROK' means, I'll admit that Im not entirely sure either. I just know that at some point, the words 'rock' and 'rock n roll' started to feel redundant. I think it was years ago when someone-probably Perthe, the guitarist in Yonic South-wrote 'ROK' in the description of a Facebook event or in Ig stories or whatever. From then on, we started using 'ROK' more and more until it became something we can't live without and that now belongs to everyone. I'm truly grateful to all the bands who embraced my dumb ass request. But thats exactly what ROK is all about: cool people doing dumb things they love. And it doesnt really matter how wacky it gets, as long as the ideas behind it are genuinely original. Maybe Ive inspired some of them, and some of them have definitely inspired me. And that's great, as long as this thing keeps going on! Big thanks to Saldacani for the artwork - you're the best - and to all the Super Stanzy people. And thank you, Wild Honey Records. One day, the underground scene will be even more grateful for this, more than it already is. Long live ROK! Or as DADGAD says, 'ROK IT UP!!!"
