The Vagaband are an 8-piece band playing a soulful mix of americana, blues, jazz and rock. Among the instruments they play are fiddle, mandolin, pedal-steel guitar, clarinet, fllhorn, banjo, squeezebox and piano. Their debut album takes the listener from Beatles' inspired ragtime, through the horn-driven soundtrack of New Orleans and on to the open landscape of reflective Americana. There is however an underlying Celtic-Britishness everpresent to the sound.
