Tombstones In Their Eyes
Sea Of Sorrow
"Tombstones in Their Eyes create music laced with celestial grandeur and a fuzzed-out psychedelic majesty that looks out in the universe just as much as is looks inward toward the soul," noted long-running music journal The Big Takeover. The six-piece band presents a somewhat understated powerhouse of sonic emotion that has been labeled shoegaze and psyche, but at this point the band, led by songwriter/frontman John Treanor, has established their own sound that needn't be pigeonholed. Sea of Sorrow is the first full-length LP/CD to be released by Kitten Robot Records. The band has been working with KR producer Paul Roessler throughout their career, and this new L.P. feels like a homecoming of sorts in the band's run of releases dating back to 2015. Ghettoblaster said their previous EP, A Higher Place, was "bursting with imposing tracks throughout it. Throughout the release, there are innumerable amounts of psychedelic swirls, but it's probably the bold harmonies from song to song that stand out the most. These are things that literally can't be ignored, considering how powerful they make themselves within the mix."
