Teolis, Iacopo
The Moving Forest
From the age of 9 the study of the trumpet and the love for jazz continued uninterruptedly. His passion for symphonic music was born in 2018 when he started attending the concerts of the Santa Cecilia National Orchestra and Choir, thus having the opportunity to listen to many pieces from the classical repertoire for orchestra, thus remaining fascinated by the sounds of the cello and bassoon. The work of Iacopo Teolis was influenced by the careful analysis and decisive ideas of Dave Douglas with whom he explored Bach's chorales, Monk's compositions and the music of Douglas himself. Conceived and shaped for this group and for these musicians, the music performed is original both in the composition and in the arrangement of a standard from the jazz tradition
