Melodies penetrate the ear, beats keep pusshing forward. Shrill vocals meet lovingly produced little details. No doubt influenced by the eighties - by New Wave, New German Wave and Punk, Schwefelgelb show that the old can easily be combined with the new to create a progressively fresh sound. When Sid and Eddy work at their keyboards and electro drums with everything they have available, there sound is enriched by dancers Nyx and Hal, which results in extroverted stage shows that tend to blow away the audience everytime. While playing music somehow very German sounding, the group has just as well been able to impress European audiences in cities such as Madrid, Lisboa, Bruxelles, Warszaw and Glasgow - where, following a show, their colleagues from Shitdisco were driven to describe them as "The bastard love child of D.A.F and Fad Gadget, with a sound that transports you to the squat party of your dreams. Intense, electric, inspiring. Schwefelgelb are worthy of god-like adulation. Bow down."
