Saint James Society
Covered In Blood (flexi)
The EP is a collection of covers that have inspired the band since its inception, several of which have been a mainstay in the The Saint James Society's live set over the years. The EP also features guest vocals from Anna Bulbrook (The Airborne Toxic Event / The Bulls / Edwards Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros) and Swan (Glitch Mob / Pair Of Arrows). The lead track from the EP, the Siouxsie and the Banshees track "Arabian Knights", features guest vocalist Bulbrook and is accompanied by a video directed by Juan Azulay (Sigur Rs / Lydia Lunch / The Cult / The Black Ryder). "Arabian Knights" and a cover of Bauhaus' "All We Ever Wanted Was Everything" will feature on the the physical release, which will be pressed on genuine, used medical X-Rays, breathing new life and making art from these discarded slices of peoples' most intimate history. The release will come with a digital download of the whole 5-track EP, which also features Lords Of The New Church's "Russian Roulette", Shocking Blue's "Hot Sand, and a suitably '80s inspired remix of the Siouxsie track by cult Romanian producer Peter Zaad (Doddy / Marcel Pavel). The brainchild of singer and multi-instrumentalist Brandon Burkart whilst living in Austin, Texas, the band's line-up of Los Angeles-based gypsies includes British guitarist Marc Sallis (The Duke Spirit / The Bulls), bassist Noah Harmon (The Airborne Toxic Event / Summer Moon / Dhani Harrison), Giselle Reiber (Ice Balloons / Midnight Masses) on synths and drummer Glenn Fryatt.
