Robespierre

Rainy Wednesday

Rainy Wednesday is Parisian band Robespierre's second EP. The hoodlums follow their weekly journey. After Fruity Tuesday, they swapped their slippers and bedroom studio for some heavy walking-shoes. They take us on a trip though North American red deserts and rocks and fields of roses on summer nights. Still in their own retro pop style, they convey a blues rock energy that matches they stage performance. In this new production recorded at Studio Mégaphone with the Dedonder brothers (Pépite, Natalia Doco), the band unleashes the saturated guitares, instrumental moments and improvisation that suits them so well. The sharpness and liveness of this latest release is a bluesstorm de blues with dwelled with bright pop sunny spells. This EP will remind us of Vieux Farka Touré's, Dereck & the Dominos, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Younglike harmonies weaving over impeccable Motown and rock grooves. Each song is a poetic and musical photograph. The lyrics come as warm winds in the storm, and evoke the midsts of love and current times. All aboard Rainy Wednesday ! You're entering some high intensity musical showers. The two first singles « Tears » and It Could've Been » are playing already on FIP Radio
