Rhea
Close To Moving Ice
Mark De Wit is a long lasting member of the Belgian School of Electronic & Cosmic Music. Since the early 80's as a bandmember in Purfoze De Wit tried to "cosmicly" close the gap between Berlin School sequencing and ambient. Something he continued to do with his soloact Rhea. Whether his subject is deep space, the earth, the moon, the first spacewalk or as in this case the eternal shifting icemass in Greenland, always there is the urge to tell a story that makes you dreaming of these faraway places and wish you were there in person, taking this trip. With Close To Moving Ice Rhea has made a 35 minute tribute to the ice packs of the northpole. A sonic journey through the slow crushing ice shifts. Bordering on cinematic darkambient this is a treat for fans of Eno, Schulze, 70's Tangerine Dream and even Vangelis. Close To Moving Ice by Rhea is the third in a series of liveperformances recorded at the Littl'AntennA Sessions in PostX, Merelbeke, Belgium.
