RevoltRevolt formed in 2007, headed by front man Chris Bock, and Seattle bassist Ben Brunn of The Nevada Bachelors. For the next year and a half, the band toured the western states extensively, honing their sound and preparing material for their debut album, Chordata, recorded by producer Conrad Uno, of Presidents of USA fame. Released in 2009 by Spark and Shine, the record ?rmly established the bands driving, noise drenched, but surprisingly nuanced sound, garnering comparisons to such acts as Dinosaur Jr., Pavement, and Guided by Voices. Without hesitation, the band proceeded on a brutal touring schedule that took them on six trips across the country, culminating in a string of 43 US shows with Warner Bros. artists Built to Spill.
