Radio Compass
Aloha (pale Blue)
Second album by the punk / wave / indie quartet from Salem / Massachusetts as a limited Europe LP version (200) in blue vinyl with a printed inlay on GUNNER. RADIO COMPASS have already made a name for themselves in their local scene, but the first reactions from the European and German scene media also give hope. It's probably because the band around singer ANGELA has found a style that can't be heard on every corner at the moment. They combine a basis of classic punk rock and new wave with concise riot grrrl elements and indie rock. Committed to the D.I.Y. tradition, the band is also known in their home country for their active participation in social and political initiatives and a network of like-minded musicians. They've gone through a few line-up changes since their first album, Papercuts, and are now almost an all-girl lineup. The ten songs of "Aloha" sound refreshingly different and at the same time refer to some cool subculture styles of past decades.
