Punkles, The
Pistol
The Punkles was a punk rock band formed in Hamburg in 1998, which was originally a side project of the group Prollhead. As Joey Lennon, Sid McCartney, Dee Dee Harrison and Markey Starkey, they played Beatles songs in the punk sound of the Ramones. Their outward appearance was a mixture of the Beatles during the Beatlemania phase and a punk band. The band was particularly successful in England, where they have toured several times and even made two guest appearances at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, and in Japan, where they had two albums in the top 50 of the music charts. "Pistol" was originally released in 2003 on the legendary Hamburg "Bitzcore" label, now remastered and available on vinyl for the first time ever!
