Potbelly
Disciples Of Fiction/concierto En Vivo Desde
Hand numbered to 200 copies. Colored vinyl. From the band: "This record is a strange collection of unique sounds. And the last page of an Era. While serving as the first page of a new Era. When we began recording this EP, it was slated to be the following four songs: 'Disciples of Fiction,' "Snake Oil,' 'Lonely Drunk Blues,' and 'Never.' An Idaho label intended to put it out. However, once they realized the lyrical content was attacking organized religion and seeing the cover art, (by legendary punk and metal artist Jeff Gaither,) the label owner backed out, stating his family is highly religious. So naturally, we turned to PIG Records who has been a constant partner in crime with us since 2009, and they agreed to release the EP. Our long-time guitar player, Christen Ogden left Potbelly a month away from our tour of Costa Rica. We've gone full circle to being a three-piece like we were during various stages in the nineties. The songs 'Fuck Your Establishment,' and 'The Great Divide,' are old songs we rerecorded just in the nick of time to add. Side B is live in Costa Rica and recorded at two different shows we performed over there."
