Phillipe Saisse Trio
On The Level
In 2006, the original trio's The Body and Soul Sessions sparked a sensation in contemporary urban jazz and spent 6 weeks atop the Radio & Records airplay with their fiery re-imagining of Steely Dan's "Do It Again." Ten years later, they picked up where they left off, recapturing their fans' imaginations with three radio hits that dominated the airplay charts for months - and laid the foundation for the release of On The Level. "And So But Then" reached #8 on Billboard's National Smooth Airplay chart and spent five weeks in the Top 20 - ranking it as one of Billboard's Top 20 Smooth Jazz Songs for the year. Following the next single, the title track "On The Level," which also reached the Top 20, "Blue Rondo" powered its way to #7.
