Pellissier, Florian -quintet-
Cap De Bonne Esperance
Florian Pellissiers very own interpretation of African jazz, with African intonations and sounds acting as a free flowing compass. Propelling his quintet, instruments still warm from having recorded Biches Bleues and the touring that followed, Florian had his brotherhood of deer leap and gallop from Almeria to beyond the Mediterranean. From Europe to Africa, driven by the intensity of the rhythm section, blown forward by the winds of saxophone and trumpet, they travelled the length of the continent, a ribbon of black and white keys dancing under their hooves.
