The Night, The Dawn And What Remains
PALE, dissolved in 2009 and last on stage again in 2012 for a farewell revue, will release their last album at the end of 2022. "The Night, The Dawn And What Remains" was literally written from life. In November 2019, guitarist and singer Christian Dang-Anh was diagnosed with a brain tumor. On the same day, drummer Stephan Kochs, brother of singer Holger Kochs, also received a diagnosis that forced him to change his entire life. Despite all the bewilderment and worry during this time, the idea of ??making music together again arises. Not for anyone to ever hear, but to relive the times when you were so alive and endless together. Only Stephan Kochs has to refrain from active participation early on for health reasons. Despite the intensive cancer therapies, Christian writes, plays and sings on new songs that are created together with unprecedented ease. The finiteness becomes painfully clear when Christian loses the fight against the disease in May 2021. PALE decide to finish the recordings that they started together. All in all, more than two years of work and love have gone into the songs. Now the fifth official, and definitely last, album by PALE has been released. "The Night, The Dawn And What Remains" is a celebration of life and what was.
