In The Absence Of Light
Morgue Poetry is the new solo project of Wisborg front man Konstantin Michaely. Acoustic instead of electric guitars, piano and real percussion instead of synthesizers and drum machines - folk noir in the vein of King Dude, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Johnny Cash and Spiritual Front. What stays from Wisborg is Michaely's low and emotional voice. Morgue Poetry's debut album ,In the Absence of Light" comes out November 23rd, 2018 on Danse Macabre Records. 14 tracks between pain and grief, love and pride, mania and cynicism; sometimes fast, sometimes slow - always authentic. The songs were recorded at Wellencocktail Tonstudio Hannover in July 2018. Achim Dreer, who also produced Wisborg's debut album ,The Tragedy of Seconds Gone" and, among others, worked with artists like De/Visiond. His raw and dynamic production perfectly captured the essence of Morgue Poetry - a modern and dark continuation of the singer-songwriter tradition. All instruments on "In the Absence of Light" were played by Michaely himself.
