Montgomery, Little Brother
At Home
Eurreal "Little Brother" Montgomery was one of the finest of the first generation of blues pianists who came out of the barrelhouse and back rooms of the rural South in the early 1900s. At Home spotlights his outstanding playing of traditional blues and traditional jazz, demonstrating why he was so important to the early development of both genres. Many of these mostly unissued cuts were recorded, as the title indicates, in his home in Chicagos South Side neighborhood of Hyde Park
