After 25 years spent as a working cowboy, in 1984, Waddie Mitchell co-founded the now internationally recognized National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in his hometown of Elko, NV. Waddie Mitchell Live, recorded at the Western Jubilee Warehouse in Colorado Springs. features a special guest appearance by project producer, Don Edwards. Musical accompaniment is provided by western guitar legend Rich OBrien and Grammy winner Norman Blake. Western Horseman calls it ".a fine mixture of music and rhyme, humor and emotion." Live finds Waddie Mitchell in his favorite place, in front of an audience, taking them along to another world, a Western world, with an excellent blend of original and traditional poetry.
