Melech / Kurek
Walk Thru
Their second album 'Walk Thru' explores trance-like, motor rhythms and looped melodies of oriental provenance. Together they create a compact, forward-moving tissue with a well-established and clear structure. They draw from tradition and improvised music. Melech's bass and soprano clarinets perfectly share the space with Kurek's short-sounding, sometimes muted, drum set. The album is characterized by minimalism and mindfulness, and the concerts are enriched by the context of the place, which allows the musicians to reinterpret the music in relation to the space.
