Mastica
Treize Cigarettes
MASTICAs (12) Treize Cigarettes is an Italian album that revives the vibrant sounds of the Sixties with its use of Mellotron, Hammond organs, and psychedelic guitars. Recorded between 2003 and 2004, it was originally released exclusively on CD. This album stands out as an outsider from its era, merging Blues with Hard Rock in a way thats direct and energetic. The setlist is packed with anthems, featuring early classics like "Gente," "I Need You," "Viola," and "Mistico," alongside sweeping unreleased tracks such as "Con Me," "Cadillac," and "Vivo." The lyrics range from psychedelic and raw to lighthearted and romantic, reflecting the bands formative and emotional experiences. In 2024, twenty years after its initial release, the album will debut on LP for the first time in a remixed and remastered edition via Go Down Records. This is a prime opportunity to rediscover a cult classic inspired by the ethos: "Destroy to construct."
