Nachtlied
IFP presents a new full-length album by one of the most notable projects in the Russian post-industrial scene. "Nachtlied" (Nightsong) is the second part of a planned trilogy, the first being "Tenebrae" (2011, joint release with Sal Solaris). The recordings of this album were attended by not less than 13 musicians, playing such instruments as piano, guitar, violin, viola, cello, clarinet, flute, trumpet, oboe. PLUS the well known band Reutoff appears as guests, too. Those who have been following the work of Majdanek Waltz, usually notice a certain evolution of their art, complexity of the structure of the compositions, strength and mature of reflection, the depth of sound. All this quality increases from album to album and it is not an exaggeration to say that with "Nachtlied" the group finally reveals to the maximum their high potential. "Nachtlied" is in a good way a very cinematic album that draws a more than one hour-long picture, which will please fans of the band as much as reach new followers. Paul Bliumkins characteristic vocals accompany the neoclassicism, neofolk, dark ambient, martial ingredients of this projects sound although: to give a description of the project by means of music tags is sort of pointless - MAJDANEZ WALTZ indeed are unique and very recognizable in sound!
