Paisley Archive are proud to announce the release of '1979', the highly anticipated new 38 track album from MadFish. Four years in the making and with the working title 'The Story of Billy', 1979 takes you with a dash of punk, all the way back to the late 70's Mod Revival. The songs seen through the eyes of Billy, take you on a nostalgic journey through time to the present day. The album Includes 7 reworked songs, including the never recorded 'Jersey' and the fan favourite 'No Girls For Billy', from Gregor and Colin's original 1979 Mod / Punk band The Head. The band were known infamously for their 1980 collectable 7" double A sided Ellie Jay single 'Nothing To Do In A Town Like Leatherhead'/'University '79'. The album also includes 31 brand new original songs, featuring a new version of 'London' and the extended mix of 'Do You Want To Be Like Me?' Produced by Dr. Crippen, previously of Tenpole Tudor, King Kurt and now of The Weird Things and recorded at Panther Studios in Surrey. In the tradition of The Clash's 1979 'London Calling', this double album is available for the price of a single album. The CD's also come smartly packaged in a digipak with an 8 page booklet.
