Lewis, Simon
Rebel
For many years, Simon Lewis made street music in Vienna and played at subway exits to make his self-written songs heard. With his first album "Pilot" he made the leap into the radio. With the songs "All I Am", "Break your wall" and "hey Jessy" he even made it into the Austrian Airplay Charts. This was followed by a tour in Austria and Germany, as well as a support appearance with George Ezra in Berlin and Cologne. Even though there were many successes to celebrate, Simon had to struggle more and more with anxiety and depression. You would think success confirms you in what you do, but with Simon it was exactly the opposite, it unsettled him. So it happened that he withdrew and began to rediscover his love for music. Still on this self-journey but already making music again, Simon Lewis is now working on his second album. Self-doubt, insecurity but also friendship, infatuation and the power of hope that can be found in every new beginning are the themes that will shape this album. Inspired by his musical idols such as Kings of Leon, Mumford and Sons and The Beatles, the new sound of Simon Lewis is also based on this.
