Leimgruber, Urs/andreas Willers
Pale White Shout
Andreas Willers, a guitarist armed with electric guitar, effects pedals and rather unusual aids such as a so-called alligator clip (musical idea from the hardware store) that is attached to guitar strings to create interesting noises. Urs Leimgruber, a saxophonist with tenor and soprano sax, instruments, where percussive clanging of the keys and gurgling of condensed water are put to use together with conventional tone production. Both musicians are letting moments happen; carefully moving towards each other with soft notes; and are intensely listening to what the other is doing. Fragile shapes of sound, spontaneously crafted in the scent of the wood dust in a workshop of fantasy: the entirely unique poetry of a musical encounter. Andreas Willers and Urs Leimgruber: a truely sharp-eared meeting.
