Trio Plus One-live At Boxleys

In 2013, the night after playing to a standing-room audience for North Bend Jazz Walk, Pony Boy Records turned on the recording mics at Boxleys for a documentation of two all-out sets by powerhouse tenor-ist Pete Christlieb along with the only band that could power-up with him, the gospel and blues fueled Danny Kolke Trio. Its members having driven the ever-popular Ernestine Anderson and Woody Hermans Young Thundering Herd; there was sure to be swing, and hard swing. The song selection was mostly Kolke originals and arrangements of old gospel chestnuts - like Amazing Grace and Pass Me Not.
