Finally there are signs of life from these two exceptional German bands. Karies provide us with a nice cross-section of their previous work and an outlook towards the new. They bring us three unreleased songs from 2016, 2017 and 2021. Nuage hit two brand new things that will surely catapult them out of their underdog status and finally be seen where they should have been since the last LP. All in all, both bands are a perfect match, as they play a similar musical field - dark, mechanical, cool, stoic - that comes to mind ad hoc.
