Kahn, George
Secrets From The Jazz Ghetto
George Kahns 7th album is a 2CD compilation; including a retrospective of his last 10 years of jazz compositions, PLUS 7 new recordings that carry on in the West Coast Jazz tradition. Georges music has appeared in Men Of A Certain Age, The Young and the Restless, How William Shatner Changed The World, Disney Animation, as well as major ad campaigns for Lexus and others. In 1998, George created Playing Records, and has produced seven albums of original music that reflect the history and the ongoing evolution of "West Coast Jazz" from the 50s to the 21st Century. Often compared to Dave Brubeck or Vince Guaraldi, Georges performances are sophisticated, cool and contemporary. The new album features George on piano with many guest artists including Andy Suzuki, Justo Almario, Brian Bromberg, Eric Marienthal, Karl Vincent, MB Gordy and Alex Acuna.
