Sex Whiskey & Southern Blood
The debut album by a young but very promising Polish stoner metal band J.D. Overdrive. The album entitled "Sex, Whiskey & Southern Blood" consists of ten tracks (plus a fancy intro) filled with American dirt, including their own interpretation of Jimi Hendrix' classic - Purple Haze. In March 2009 they were given the honor of performing in Krakow with the living legend of stoner metal Phil Anselmo's Down. And just when they thought that nothing can surprise them on March 9th, 2011 they opened for Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society in Warsaw. Now, after over three years of gathering experience at numerous live shows and sharpening their material, J.D. Overdrive are proud to bring you their debut album called Sex, Whiskey & Southern Blood. As they say: Not much has changed. We still don't give a shit about fame, fortune and selling-out for next to nothing, so common amongst the pseudo-artists of the so-called Polish show business. We still prefer drinking whiskey and hectoliters of beer while listening to good old rock n' roll. And now we can finally present our debut album which ultimately defines what J. D. Overdrive is all about.
