Jah Wobble
The Cover Album
The British bass guitarist, singer and poet Jah Wobble, ne John Joseph Wardle, started to make a name for himself in British post-punk circles in the mid-70s. After departing the Sex Pistols in 1978, John Lydon founded the legendary post-punk, ethnic-informed band Public Image Ltd together with Keith Levene (ex-Clash), Tim Walker and Jah Wobble. Eclectic in his own way, Jah Wobbles music influences span from jazz to dub, from punk to world music, and The Cover Album is a perfect example of this variety. A collection of renowned covers recorded at the beginning of 2015, among them the film themes The Good, The Bad & The Ugly by Ennio Morricone, Midnight Cowboy by John Barry, and the r jazz classic, Take Five by Dave Brubeck & Paul Desmond.
