River Queen
Sara Jackson-Holman has been a rare success story in the music industry; selling thousands of records based solely on landing more than a dozen major television placements. From Greys Anatomy to Pretty Little Liars Sara has built an audience without the usual methods of the typical artist. While witnessing this amazing growth, Expunged Records (home of Blind Pilot) is releasing this new EP with a full AAA radio campaign, Tiny Human publicity (PHANTOGRAM) and a national agent with a full US Tour. At first blush, River Queen, from pianist/singer-songwriter Sara Jackson-Holman, might be thought of as a departure from her past work. Really, though, its better seen as an arrival; and hinted at in her prior releases, Cardiology (2012) and When You Dream (2010). Expect more placements from Saras champion who now resides as part of Dr. Lukes collective and expect more fans as the music feels like Lorde without the vision of anyone else other than Saras own.
