Dreamcatcher
In 2015, Irdorath produced her first professional studio album "Dreamcatcher", which significantly surpassed the previous production "Ad Astra" from 2012 in terms of richness of sound, courage for musical experiments and sound quality. "Dreamcatcher" exclusively uses acoustic instruments from the Middle Ages and various cultures such as bagpipes, hurdy-gurdy, Jew's harp and didgeridoo. Vladimir also masters the extraordinary Tuvan throat singing. In addition to the delicate sounds of classical instruments such as cello, violin and piano, "Dreamcatchers" sound also delivers progressive parts whose drive and power comes from the pulsating bass and two powerful drums. Each band member is multi-talented and can play multiple instruments. Together they create a bombastic sound world that captivates the listener with its dynamics and force. The six-member Belarusian band around Vladimir and Nadezhda works almost exclusively with their own compositions, incorporating traditional folkloric influences from various regions from Mongolia to the Balkans to Europe as well as from different time zones. "Dreamcatcher" shows an extraordinary variety of musical styles that still allow you to feel a common connection in Irdorath's own fantasy folk sound. The album's English, Russian, Belarusian and Macedonian lyrics come from the world of legends and myths.
