'Pippins' is the new album by Portland post-punk band Inny. Born out of a need to preoccupy their own anxieties, the band taps into a potent mix of noise rock and indie elements which draw to mind the Dischord and Touch & Go rosters of yesteryear while creatively reaching for the road ahead. A little mathy, a little proggy, - loud instrumentation and idiosyncratic rhythms crossed with a deft use of sonic dynamics and an almost "pop" sheen that adds catchiness to the cacophony.
