Formed in 2004, INCASSUM (Latin, meaning In Vain) are a five-piece metal band from Manchester. Their dark yet melodic metal has captured the hearts and minds of many fans sice their inception, and since forming they have sought to create music that is heavy, dark and technical with a melodic edge that makes them instantly recognizable. Following the success of a demo recorded with Producer and now The Ocean member Mike Pilate, the band quickly gained momentum and followed a bout of touring and loss and gain of a guitarist, the band settled down for the recording of the debut with Producer Andy Giblin (Kill II This, I-DEF-I, NaIled, Profane etc) A wonderful blend of dark, aggressive and sometime brutally heavy metallic tones, entwined with melody, and technical and progressive movements, making the band one of the most interesting to surface in the last few years.
