In "Con Sentido y Razn" Illapu reverses a series of Nueva Cancion songs by Latin American authors, ranging from classics by Vctor Jara (Manifiesto, Movil Oil Special, La partida), through works by Silvio Rodrguez (El necio), Joaqun Sabina (Violetas para Violeta) and Vctor Heredia (Sobreviviendo), to "younger" artists such as Jorge Drexler (Aquellos Tiempos), Raly Barrionuevo (Chacarera del exilio), Alexis Venegas (La fuerza del glaciar), Luzmila Carpio (Yanapariwayku) and the Mapuche duo Che Nuevo, who contribute a magnificent song (Nuestro Mensaje) in homage to the Mapuche people-nation and to Matas Catrileo, weichafe murdered by carabineros during the government of Michelle Bachelet.
