Hayes Sisters, The
Another Man's Shoes
The Hayes Sisters (Cathryn, Angela and Jennifer) are a sibling acoustic trio from Greater Manchester, who as teenagers played the local folk clubs, before breaking to pursue various careers (You will have seen Jen aka Jennifer Hennessey acting in Dickensian, The Office, Doctor Who, Coronation Street etc). Forward 20 years and a decision to "have another go" at the music, and they're back together on stage; appearing at festivals and gigs. Spotted by Nashville -based, Clive Gregson, the sisters soon had a producer; and an album in the making. "Another Man's Shoes" is produced by Gregson and John Wood, and features the talents of Andy Dinan, Andy Seward, Fiona Lander, Simon Whitbread, and Clive Gregson himself. It is influenced by the music they grew up listening to: the traditional music of England and Ireland, and always songs where vocals and harmonies dominate - because singing in harmony was just what you did growing up! "suggestive of the Roches...as fine a debut album as one might wish for" Folk North West Mag "Sensational harmonies and top class musicians" Manchester Evening News "The Fabulous Hayes Sisters were well just..fabulous.Three shades of the same voice that can only come from sisters."
