For his first album, guitarist Antoine Guerrero chose to record his main repertoire. Even though he has been playing these pieces for years, they still retain the energy of numerous performances. These pieces helped Guerrero to make a name for himself in international competitions and to obtain praise from renowned guitarists. This programme, centered around some of the leading guitar composers of the twentieth century, corresponds entirely to the soloists vision of classical guitar: pieces highlighting its poetry and timbral palette, and allowing the instruments voice to be heard. This album features works by Rodrigo, Tansman, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Asencio, Guastavino, and a transcription after Scriabines Prlude pour la main gauche op. 9.
