GROAN were initially formed in 2009 as an internet-based project band, which was then expanded to a live band after the positive fan reaction to their demos. The band were picked up by Doomanoid Records and their dbut album was recorded over the summer of 2010. The band have taken the doom/stoner metal scene by storm and made a limited number of select live appearances since recording the album, sharing the stage with such high-profile bands from the as Lord Vicar, Witchsorrow and the Lamp of Thoth.
