Griffin, Brongaene
Three Colours Ginger
Brongaene Griffins debut CD is a collection of "contemporary traditional" fiddle music. Based in Portland, OR, Brongaene is an established fiddler with roots in Bluegrass and Old-Time but since the 90s, her focus has been on Irish music. The CD is dedicated to feline welfare and this cat theme runs throughout - the title, tunes and also poems (read by fiddler Kevin Burke ). Brongaene is accompanied by the collective and individual talents of both local and internationally acclaimed musicians, including producer/guitarist Gerry OBeirne, fiddler Kevin Burke and accordionist Johnny Connolly (Ireland) and Portlands Elizabeth Nicholson (harp), Jim Chapman (bouzouki), and Bob Soper (djembe, fiddle). Three Colours Ginger will appeal to music-lovers and cat-lovers alike.
