Gates Of Ishtar
At Dusk And Forever
When talking about Swedish 90's melodic death metal, names like Dark Tranquillity, At The Gates and In Flames quickly come to mind. With GATES OF ISHTAR, a band is quickly forgotten that had no less influence on the genre musically and is one of the influences of numerous bands that saw the light of day after them. After the 1996 debut "A Bloodred Path", two absolute milestones of the genre appeared with "The Dawn of Flames" and "At Dusk and Forever", which unfortunately also remained the last release of the Swedes. The first edition went under at the end of the nineties due to the bankruptcy of the label Invasion Records at the time. A remastered new edition was released in 2017, which is now either out of print or is being traded at too high lovers and/or import prices. So it's time for a re-release of these two diamonds in the rough at a time when 90's melodic death metal is once again enjoying increasing popularity!
